Garage Doors are offered in many colors now but still not even close to the shades most designers and homeowners are using. Even if there is a color available close to your desired shade, Often times the lead time does not work with your schedule. Also with carriage house doors, it is very common to utilize a two tone finish that accentuates the design of the door.

Most painting to garage doors has always been done by a painting contractor. When this happens, the product used is a "regular exterior paint". The garage doors are also already installed when the painting takes place. This causes alot of problems such as prohibiting the new paint to cure properly before it is put in the weather and outside elements such as debris. The other issue is one that should be obvious but is not to most homeowners. The garage doors are the largest moving items in the home. They will need to absorb heat, cold, and be able to flex somewhat in the movement that takes place. Most paints do not have the properties necessary to handle all of this.

Access has come up with a process that is accordingly named "TUFF COAT". Available in virtually any shade you need, We take your doors and transform them into a work of art. From single 1 color coats and 2-3 tone coats....Our work will impress! This is not, I repeat not a "regular paint". The looks that can be achieved are unfathomable! Ok, now the important part.....The Quality of this process.

Access "Tuff Coat" process starts in a controlled temperature/ Enviroment facility to insure proper finish and proper curing conditions. When garage doors are painted you will often see "orange peel" (the finish will have small dense texture resembling of a orange fruit husk. This happens because of a few reasons but mainly because the condition were not correct to use that paint.

The doors are coated with what we describe as clean lines. When the garage door is closed, you can only see the face (outside) of the garage door. We do not belive that this should allow for unfinished or tacky joints to be seen while the doors are in motion. As the door comes up and goes back down, it will look as if it was a factory custom finish. You cannot do this if the doors are installed before your custom finish is applied. Scheduling your project and material handling is made much easier and less costly because we do this all under one Company.

"Tuff Coat" by Access Door Company is the way to have your custom look. There is not a Paint in the market that will do what this Coating does. There is not a company that can offer this and also be able to handle the garage door project start to finish.
