Protect Your Garage with Regular Exterior Maintenance
Your garage door faces dirt, salt, and weather every day, and a little upkeep goes a long way toward protecting it.
Rust and other damage can build up when foreign matter sits on the door too long. Clean the door at least twice a year in normal environments, or four times a year in coastal environments. The door may need to be cleaned more frequently in a winter climate where road salt accumulates.
When cleaning it, the door should be wiped down with a mild household detergent and rinsed with clear water.
Pro Tip: Don't forget to clean behind the stop molding, the trim strips along the sides and top of your door, since dirt and grime tend to collect there.

Waxing the Door in Coastal and Harsh Environments
In coastal and harsh environments, it’s necessary to wax the front of the door after installation. Select a good quality car wax and apply it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Wax should be applied at least twice a year, immediately after cleaning.

Windows Cleaning and Care Instructions
How to Care for Glass, Plexiglass, Stained Look, Leaded Look, Brilliance® and Studio Series
Clean with a mild solution of dishwashing detergent and a soft cloth. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly. DO NOT use any ammoniated, abrasive or solvent-based cleaners of any kind.
Studio Series Windows Only:
Use a good grade of automotive paste wax and buff with a soft cloth. Windows should be cleaned and waxed at least once annually or more often based on the atmospheric conditions where it is installed.
